"Nature is doing her best each moment to make us well. She exists for no other end. Do not resist. With the least inclination to be well we should not be sick." Henry David Thoreau
According to Michael Murray, N.D., and Joseph Pizzorno, N.D, authors of Textbook of Natural Medicine and Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine there are four cornerstones of natural health. The first is having a positive mental attitude, the second is having a healthy lifestyle that incorporates exercise, sleep, and health habits, the third is following a health promoting diet and the final cornerstone is taking supplementary measures such as nutritional supplements and physical care of the body. Physical care of the body includes developing proper breathing techniques, posture and having some sort of routine bodywork done such as chiropractic manipulation, massage, reflexology or shiatsu.
I believe that everyone should have a medical physician and consult him or her when they are ill or injured. I also feel that they should have a natural healer of some sort to consult when they are well and would like to stay that way.
